Data Administrator - Emerson Electric Asia

Responsibilities:
1. Review sets of records identified as potential merges, research anomalies, correct data, perform merges.
2. Create customer, industry, and custom groupings to drive reporting at user request. Work with users to refine the request and implement it.
3. Research company locations, evaluate industry code information from company websites, industry websites, Dun & Bradstreet as well as divisional and LBP sources to determine accurate industry codes for each site and a master industry code that best represents the Emerson Process overall business with that customer business unit.
4. Perform targeted cleanup and de-duplication of addresses, customer names, and industry codes for Oracle single instance loading and cleanup.
5. Work with Marketing departments to clean and manage data in GDW and Passport. Requires coordination with contacts from all world areas.
6. Perform translation and research on Customer names and addresses written in non-western characters. Merge information at a master level and manage it in original language at the operational level.

Requirements:
1. Must have a college degree in IT related field. Must have programming background.
2. Prefer three years customer support.
3. Prefer exposure to Oracle applications, PL/SQL and Oracle forms.
4. Must have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel.
5. Prefer experience working with international B to B companies
6. Must have exposure to data in multiple languages and character sets
7. Ideal candidate would be able to read multiple languages, particularly Asian character sets or European languages.
8. Highly Computer-literate
9. Good communication skills – oral and written
10. High attention to detail
11. Ability to interact with and be assertive with all levels of management
12. Ability to work independently
13. Ability to work as an integral part of a team
